The Year 11 (GCSE) Physics course is carefully designed to provide students with the knowledge, problem-solving skills, and exam confidence needed to achieve Grades 8 and 9 in GCSE Physics.
All remaining GCSE Physics topics will be completed by November, ensuring students have covered the full specification well before their final examinations.
From November, structured revision lessons begin to prepare students for their mock examinations in December and January, reinforcing both fundamental concepts and higher-tier material.
Revision sessions focus on the entire GCSE syllabus while giving additional attention to challenging calculation questions, required practicals, and higher-level problem-solving.
Beginning in January, students concentrate on intensive GCSE examination preparation through carefully selected past papers, model questions, predicted papers, and examiner-style questions, continuing until the May examinations.
Students receive high-quality revision booklets, target papers, weekly revision tutorials, and fully worked solutions to strengthen their understanding and improve examination performance.
Throughout the course, students develop effective exam techniques, learn how to avoid common mistakes, improve calculation accuracy, and manage examination time confidently.
Classes are taught in small groups of no more than 10 students, ensuring every student receives personalised attention, individual feedback, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
The course runs as weekly 1.5-hour lessons throughout the academic year, providing structured revision, continuous assessment, and consistent support.
