MathsAlpha offers Online Physics Classes for Year 10 in the UK. The Year 10 course develops students' understanding of the key principles of Physics through engaging lessons covering forces, energy, electricity, waves, particle physics, and scientific investigations in preparation for GCSE examinations.
Students strengthen their problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills by applying physics concepts to real-life situations, calculations, experiments, and exam-style questions, providing excellent preparation for GCSE Physics.
In Year 10 Physics, students build on the foundations established in Year 9 while studying the majority of the GCSE Physics specification in greater depth. Regular revision of previously covered topics ensures long-term understanding and confidence.
By the end of Year 10, students will have completed over 80% of the GCSE Physics syllabus, giving them an excellent foundation before entering their final examination year.
The course places strong emphasis on exam techniques, helping students develop confidence through carefully selected GCSE past paper questions, model exam questions, calculation practice, and extended-response questions for every topic.
Students receive weekly tutor-marked revision tutorials containing exam-style questions and past paper exercises. These are completed before the following lesson, where challenging questions are discussed in detail. Fully worked PDF solutions are provided after each tutorial.
Lessons take place weekly for 1.5 hours throughout term time, beginning in September. Every lesson is recorded, allowing students to revisit difficult topics or catch up on any missed classes.
Every two months, students complete a progress assessment based on recently covered topics. Test results and feedback are shared with parents, helping monitor achievement and identify areas requiring additional support.
Key topics include forces, motion, energy, electricity, waves, particle model, atomic structure, radioactivity, magnetism, electromagnetism, and scientific investigation skills, ensuring students develop a comprehensive understanding of the GCSE Physics curriculum.
With expert tuition, personalised support, structured revision, and regular assessment, students gain both the knowledge and confidence required to achieve excellent GCSE Physics results.
The first lesson is FREE for all new Year 10 Physics students.
Each session costs £30 for 1.5 hours of expert Physics tuition.
After the first lesson, payments are made monthly in advance.
Full payment instructions and invoices are provided via email.
