MathsAlpha provides online maths classes for Year 7 students across the UK. Our Year 7 Maths course helps students transition confidently from primary school to secondary school mathematics.
Students develop strong foundations in number skills, algebra, geometry, fractions, decimals, percentages, and problem-solving, preparing them for success throughout Key Stage 3 and beyond.
Course Descriptions
- Year 7 is an important stage where students build the mathematical foundations required for future GCSE studies. Our course is designed to make this transition smooth, engaging, and enjoyable.
- Lessons focus on developing mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and confidence when tackling unfamiliar questions.
- Classes are kept small, with a maximum of 10 students per group, ensuring personalised support and individual attention from expert tutors.
- Weekly lessons run for 1 hour and 15 minutes during term time, starting in September, providing consistent learning throughout the academic year.
- Students receive weekly tutor-marked worksheets and revision tasks to reinforce previously covered topics. Solutions are provided to support independent learning.
- Progress tests are conducted every two months to assess understanding and identify areas for improvement.
- Parents receive regular updates on their child's progress, achievements, and areas requiring additional support.
- Our structured Year 7 maths program combines expert teaching, interactive learning, and regular practice to help students build confidence and achieve excellent results.
Fees and Payments
- The first lesson is free to experience our Year 7 Maths course.
- Each session costs £25 for 1 hour and 15 minutes of expert teaching.
- Continue learning with monthly advance payments made during the first week of each month.
- If a student discontinues the course, the remaining balance for that month will be refunded.
- Payment details and monthly invoices are sent via email.

- Fractions – Understand types of fractions, equivalent fractions, and operations with fractions.
- Geometry – Study lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, and basic shapes with clear explanations.
- Algebra – Learn expressions, simple equations, and number sequences step by step.
- Ratio, Proportion and Percentages – Understand practical maths used in real-life calculations.
- Probability and Statistics – Learn basic probability, data collection, charts, and interpretation.
- Area and Perimeter – Calculate the area and perimeter of different 2D shapes confidently.
